If you are coordinating a party for a wrestling fan, hiring wrestlers may be a fun way to add some pizzazz to the event.  Wrestlers are ideal for entertaining at birthday parties, but also for charity events, celebrity dinners and even in high school gymnasiums.

Once a contract has been signed, you will be responsible for making travel arrangements, accommodations and incidentals while the wrestlers are in your area.  This will include transportation to and from the airport, bus station or reimbursement for gasoline if they drive.  In the majority of instances, the remaining balance due, after the initial deposit, toward the appearance will need to be paid before the wrestlers arrive at your event.

If you have trouble locating an agent for retired wrestlers, you may be able to contact their last known affiliation for accurate contact information.  Once you have the information, you can make the initial contact via telephone or fax. 

The cost of hiring wrestlers can start at several thousand dollars and go up from there depending on the popularity of the athlete.  If you are hosting a charity event, the appearance fee may be less because it is for a good cause.  Make sure that the agent for the wrestlers knows if this is the case.  You will need to give very detailed information about the event, so be ready to answer a lot of questions.

Wrestlers are a terrific way to add a great entertainment presence to your event.  Very charismatic in their actions, wrestlers are fun to watch and provide for an excellent turnout.  If you do confirm wrestlers for your charity event, be sure to promote this fact in your press releases and on your company website.  A celebrity appearance can offer a big boost for attendance.  If, on the other hand, you are hiring wrestlers to attend a birthday party, try to keep the entertainment low key and only announce it to invited guests.  Otherwise, you may have the entire neighborhood turning out for what was to be an intimate birthday celebration among friends.
