» Models & Actors

Models & Actors can be a wonderful addition to any party or special event. They are famous, entertaining and generally very personable. These are professions that both require people to be in the public eye, to meet and mingle with various individuals and to add life to any party.

Models are beautiful and attract attention wherever they go. There are both male and female models, both of which are often available for parties. The male models would be more appealing to the ladies while the female models would draw a gentlemen crowd. Either would be ideal for a fashion show or party. In addition, models would be terrific guests to invite if you are launching a new fashion line and wish to have the clothing modeled casually during a dinner party.

Actors are famous for television, movies and commercials. Everyone can be star-struck and there’s no better way to ensure that than to invite actors to your special event. This will draw fans and media attention to your party. In addition, you will be the envy of your friends by having a famous personality appearing at your event.

Models & Actors are both booked through their respected talent agencies. Availability varies and must be confirmed way ahead of time, typically 6 months or more, before an event. If you are requesting the presence of a very well-known celebrity, you may need to begin negotiations up to a year prior to the event. Typically, once an available date is selected, the model or actor would need to agree to attend the event. After that, prices would be discussed. Generally, an appearance fee, travel expenses and incidentals are included in the cost. A substantial deposit, toward the total cost, must be applied at the time an agreement is reached in order to reserve the appearance. A detailed contract will be provided, which is normally already drawn up and used as a standard appearance contract. The agent will provide the contract, which must be signed, dated and returned along with the deposit.

As the host, you will be responsible for making all travel arrangements, although most models and actors prefer first class. Depending on how close you are they may be willing to drive, but be prepared to pay for their gas mileage and the extra wear on their car. Generally, ground travel includes a limousine or other chauffeured automobile. Hotel reservations and funds for any other amenities must be provided for the appearance, as well.

If you are scheduling a model or actor for your special event or party, consider sending press releases to the local newspaper and/or television station. If you are having a grand opening at a new place of business, inviting a celebrity will gain much media attention. In addition, it will draw crowds of fans and potential new customers. If that’s your angle, be sure to invite a celebrity that relates to the products you sell. If you sell movie and television collectibles, invite a former well-known actor to have an autograph signing. If you offer clothes, invite a model. If possible, try to secure reservations with someone who is not at the peak of their career. These individuals are both busy and very costly, so your best bet would be an older, well-known personality who has the time to make the appearance and do so within a reasonable budget
