Western stagecoaches are commonly found in western movies and television shows.  Typically featuring one or two horses, with a driver perched atop a carriage, western stagecoaches were once designed as a means of transportation from one place to another.

Not so widely used today, stagecoaches have since been replaced with buses, taxis and other modes of modern transportation.  However, their classic feel cannot be ignored and their charm takes everyone back to simpler days.  Today, one of the most popular uses of western stagecoaches is for use in wedding transportation.

Some wedding parties choose to arrive at their wedding in a limousine, a horse drawn carriage or western stagecoaches.  Additionally, some newlyweds opt for a dramatic exit in one of the most historic transport vehicles as they gallop away in western stagecoaches.  If you are looking to find western stagecoaches, it will likely take some time and an equal amount of research.  Because they are scarce, few companies have access to functioning units.  If you call the city chamber of commerce of the state’s department or tourism, you may get some interesting leads to help in your search.

If you come up empty handed, spend some time surfing on the internet for companies who provide western stagecoaches as transportation.  You may find that one is located in a neighboring state or be able to arrange for delivery of western stagecoaches even if they are states away.  Once you find the transportation that you are looking for, you will likely have to sign a contract for accepting responsibility of the vehicle while it is in use at your event.  Legitimate transportation companies are insured, but you must agree to not damage the unit while in use.  A general amount of care must be exercised just as if you were renting a car or any other type of transportation. 

In order to finalize an agreement for transportation via western stagecoaches, you will likely have to provide a deposit to reserve the transportation for your specific date, time and event.  The remaining balance due will likely be required before the event but, in some cases, you may have to pay 100% upfront at the time of the contract signing.  Depending on the distance from the western stagecoaches to your location, the cost may increase as determined by mileage.  You will likely be responsible for shipping, of the western stagecoaches, both to and from your event.
