					  <title>Special Events</title>
					  <link>http://www.weddingpartyhelp.com/Articles/articles/35/1/Special-Events.html</link>
<description>There are many occasions that allow us to mingle with friends, family and even co-workers. Many company's offer regular corporate &#38; special events, which allow employees to chat, enjoy a nice dinner and possibly even dancing. These types of events are geared at helping the employees to get to know each other, as well as the management team. They are designed to bring the most important part of the company closer - the employees. Corporate &#38; special events planning takes a lot of work and can be a very daunting task. First, a facility must be selected for the event to be held. It should be one that is easily accessible and well-known to most people in the area. These types of events are often held in an office building or hotel ballroom. Once the date, time and location is selected, customized invitations should be sent out to each employee requesting their presence. The invitations should be personal and should convey the message that each employee is sincerely invited to the party. If needed, include tickets for the employee and a guest. Being responsible for corporate &#38; special events is much like planning a wedding. It requires many of the same details, including dining, menu selection, accurate seating count, entertainment selection and the mailing of invitations. Plans must be made well in advance in order to secure the location, d&#233;cor and festivities that your company wishes to incorporate into their special event.Begin searching in the local telephone directory, the internet and ask for referrals from close friends. Browse for the companies that offer ballroom rental, party rentals, catering, entertainment, printing, etc. If you select a hotel ballroom for your corporate or special event, much of the aforementioned will already be handled, including table and chairs, catering, clean up, etc. These amenities are generally included in the total cost for rental of the facility. If you choose to hold an office party, you will need to find independent companies to handle these details. In addition, you will need to ask the janitorial staff to clean up after the party, or hire a cleaning crew specifically for the event. Before signing on the dotted line to reserve the services of any company, read the contract thoroughly and make sure that you agree to the terms as outlined. Pay very close attention to the wording in every sentence and, when you are certain that it is acceptable, sign and date the contract. Always retain a copy of every agreement reached for future reference. A quality contract must outline the date, time and place of your event, along with the company's responsibilities toward the function. If you are having the event catered, the caterer should outline the menu selection and length of time that they will be available for service. In addition, if a deposit is made toward the total cost of the service, this should be noted along with the remaining balance due. Cancellation policies should always be outlined in any agreement, as well.&#160; Article by Cynthia - Wedding Party Help This Wedding Article can be reprinted in whole.
