<description>The selection of linens is an important part of a wedding reception. Guests will be enjoying their meal, sampling the wedding cake and having a drink of champagne. In order to make the setting perfect, most newlyweds are careful in the selection of their table covering, napkins and runners. A table covering would be the first accessory to consider. These are available in a variety of prints, including lace, sheer, theme, elegant, holiday, etc. There will almost certainly be a table covering to coordinate with any time of year and any setting that you wish to work with. The next selection will be the runner. A runner is a wide strip of fabric that is placed on top of the table covering and runs down the center. It adds a touch of contrast and color to the setting. For example, if you have a Valentine's Day wedding ceremony, perhaps you would select a white lace table covering with a warm red runner. The colors coordinate beautifully with the holiday and also with the wedding. Runners are available in a variety of colors, shapes and prints. Some have tassels while others are traditionally hemmed at the end. Napkins are another type of linen that must be selected to compliment each place setting. A solid print will often accommodate most traditional wedding receptions, but napkins are available in a variety of prints and themes. If your wedding colors are gold and white, perhaps the table cloth would be white and complimented with a gold runner. To coordinate, the napkins could be a solid white color with gold napkin rings. Chair covers are a possible consideration if you wish to have the chairs matching the table setting. Beautiful flowers adorning the back of the chair cover will be a nice addition, as well. When selecting chair covers, you will want to make sure that they will fit the size chairs that you have chosen. Most chair covers are universal, but double check just to be on the safe side.A quality linen store, either retail or online, is the perfect place to browse for your accessories. A retail store will likely have swatch samples of all fabrics, sample place settings already created to give you an idea of the final presentation and a detailed price list. If they do not already have the fabric and quantity in stock, they should be able to special order them for you. Depending on the demand, and time of year, this could result in a wait of several weeks or more. For this reason, it's best to start shopping at least several months before the actual wedding. If you are shopping online, check around and compare prices. Read up on brand names and ask friends or family for their opinions. Before ordering online, check out the company's profile with the local Better Business Bureau, find out about their return policy or replacement options if the products are damaged in transit. Always be sure to find out about delivery time because, with your wedding fast approaching, you don't want the linens to arrive too late.&#160; Article by Cynthia - Wedding Party Help This Wedding Article can be reprinted in whole.
